Homes have been reduced to ash, communities displaced, lives tragically lost—and countless animals, from dogs and cats to horses and pigs, are scared and vulnerable.

Veterinarians Without Borders (VWB) is partnering with local organizations to provide essential care and support to underserved community members. This includes pet care vouchers for essentials like food, supplies, and emergency veterinary care for smoke inhalation and stress.

Together with on-the-ground organizations like Living Free Animal Sanctuary, VWB is delivering immediate, life-saving relief to animals impacted by the fires.
Rescuing and transporting affected animals, including dogs, horses, and pigs.
Offering an equine therapy program to support the recovery of first responders.
🌟 Launch the Emergency Crisis Resilience Response Fund
Through this fund, VWB is providing pet care vouchers of $250–$500 to evacuees with pets, helping them cover critical expenses such as:
Emergency veterinary care.
Pet food, leashes, and other essential supplies.
These vouchers, distributed in collaboration with local assistance programs, provide flexibility and dignity to underserved families navigating this challenging time.
